Waiting 'til I know you better.
I am trying not to tell you but I want to
I'm scared of what you'll say
So I'm hiding what I'm feeling
But I'm tired of holding this inside my head."
-From Fallin' For You by Colby Caillat-
This is the verse that my friend and I thought is meaningful. Another friend said that it is romantic because it is a story. I don't know how it is romantic. Perhaps, I have misunderstood him. I find it kind of sad because somehow 'rejection' popped up in my mind. Sometimes, I wondered if guys are that blurr. I read in a magazine that sometimes they REALLY are blurr when a girl likes them. But then again, some people has got the instinct but they don't speak out.

I will be playing darts for my house today and I haven't been practicing adequately because all the darts sets were borrowed by other people and were not returned. On top of that, some people were really getting on my nerves thinking that they will trash my sports house. To me, it's just bad sportsmanship.
I will be having CSU today and will be learning to tak a sexual, menstrual and obstetrics history. I really hope I won't screw up because I have no idea what to ask. *sniff*

Another hair cut
Now... I don't know if my hair cut was a disaster or not. I liked it, but then I didn't. But I liked it again, but after that, I changed my mind.
I've had more negative comments compared to positive ones. Indeed, I think it is kind of short. Imagine there are three lengths: A, B and C with A being the longest and C, the shortest. When I asked for A, he cut B for me. When I said that I would like to keep the sides of my fringes, he trimmed them away! I was thinking what if I like this length and asks for this length next time, would he cut C type for me? *gulp*
I like change but this was unexpected. I went back to my previous hairstylist and was thinking of getting it done like before.
What I don't like about it...
- My fringes are shorter than I expected. He said that it's okay because it'll grow very fast. I hope it does. I also think that it's too thick but I guess sometimes, you've just got to accept what was given.
- It covers my ears although it doesn't cover my eyes. Tucking it behind my ear for csu is definitely a NO because it looks really weird. Hence, I need to get hair clips.
- I don't think it goes so well with my face. But then, this might change as it grows longer.
What I like about it...
- I trust his decision and style. He has been a hairstylist for the past 6 years. It may not be widely accepted or commonly seen by others but I believe hairstylist won't let their customers walk out of the shop feeling uncomfortable.
- It is definitely easier to maintain.
- I like the bare feeling I have on my neck.

Personalised Bookmark #2
Anyway, during my holidays, I did this for a good friend of mine, Hwei Jene. It's weird how we don't sit together in lectures or study together. We haven't hang out together or go to the movies. Yet, I think we're good friends. Why? I guess it was all the blogging that kept us connected. And once we start talking, we can not stop for at least an hour I think. Plus, we were in the same PBL group back in Sem 1 and learnt about CPR together. =)
The flowers and the leaves are used in most of my bookmarks and cards. I tried changing it but I still think it's the best so long as the person doesn't receive the same design from my again. I texted her to ask her about her favourite colour. She didn't reply me in the time frame I wanted. Suddenly I remembered the tags we all had to do. I made her do one of my tags before and got to know that her favourite colour was white.
Since I couldn't make everything white, I just made the background white. If you have noticed, there are floral patterns on it. [It's from Moof by the way.]
As I was also itching to use the papers I bought from Whimsicle Articles, I cut out an exact shape and glued to the back. It is the paper that looks nice, not my work. That's why the materials used are important. =)
The size varies all the time. I know now that Jene likes to read Manga. Hopefully, it's not too thick for her liking. Some people have mentioned to me that it may seem a little thick. I don't really know about that. Some people don't use it as a bookmark but get it stick on the wall or somewhere. But it is up to them to do what they'd like to do with it.

Taurus Volleyball
It was after the volleyball match against Pheonix. The team captain is Alifa, who is standing in the middle in the 2nd row.
You may think that we're weird, but we were just trying to show off our Taurus shirt which was designed by Ferdi.I think when I go to Seremban, I may want to participate in the volleyball event only if I get through Sem 5 and have free time over there. =) I wonder what other sports there are in Seremban.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Holiday is already ending and I am not that prepared to go back to uni for lectures. As I tell a few friends, Sem 4 is like a holiday. I still think I should use my time in a better way before it gets wasted just like that.
Ash's Tag
My Age On My Next Birthday
--> 20
A Place/ Places I'd like to travel to
--> Australia, Japan, UK, Europe. I would love to find out how people in the West live and how their cultures are like. If it's a country in Asia, it would be Japan.
My Favourite Place
--> My room. I think many people would say their room too because it is the most comfortable place. If home is excluded, I wouldn't have anything in mind. The dance room smells while the student lounge is crowded. Nope, library is not my favourite place but it is a place I like.
My Favourite Food/ Drink
--> Fruit juice! Guava, watermelon and apricot mostly.
My Favourite Pet/Pets
--> I don't keep pets. I used to have 2 tortoises and 3 hamsters. No idea what would be my favourite.
My Favourite Colour Combo
--> Anything with black preferably purple.
My Favourite Clothing Item
--> DRESSES!!! But, nowadays, I find it tough to get a dress that I like which is casual so that it is suitable for uni as well. :/
My Favourite Song
--> Too many, but they all fall under the category of 'EMO' songs. =) 'So bad' (acoustic) by Making April and 'How To Save A Life' by The Fray are examples of them.
My Favourite TV Show(s)
--> Grey's Anatomy. Followed by House and Ghost Whisperer.
My Dream Job
--> When I was a kid, I wanted to be a fashion designer. But then, I forgotten about it as I wanted to become a ballerina/gymnast for life. Not soon after, I wanted to be an artist but colour pencils and paintbrushes didn't quite like me. So, I thought of becoming a critic and write reviews on dance, food, stuff. Now, I still place hope that one day, besides becoming a paediatrician and being involved with neonatal care, I would also have my own business and sell handmade stuff while dancing during my leisure time. (if I have the time)
The One Thing I'd Like to Do Before I Die
--> Tell people how special they are to me especially that one special person. (if I do have one)
The first thing I’ll buy if I get $1,000,000
--> Nothing. Because I think I've got things that I need. I'll probably keep it for family emergency and donate some part away.
The best part of me?
--> Why don't you tell me? ;)
Stationeries!!!
A friend of mine said that I would probably be happy if I got married to a Stationery Guy. Haha. I think I'm already happy with what I have because I get what I want but these small things just add colours to my life. They are meant for PBLs by the way. hehe. (I just got it figured out but we all know that PBLs don't require a lot of paperclips and that we could just staple them. But so far, I haven't stapled any.) *smiles*
When car alarms goes off:
Talk about cars, I was also at Subang Parade and there was a car with an alarm which went off. After more than 2 hours, as I walked to get my car, I realised that the car alarm was still on. So, I wondered, the main point of car alarms is for car security, right? And when the alarm goes off, thieves are supposed to scram since it attracts attention, right? Well, at least, that is what I thought.
If you are there when it is off, then, probably panic is one of the options. Otherwise, you could just stay calm, check out the scene and then see if anything's wrong. But what if it went off and you didn't know about it until a few hours later? As it seems annoying, but shouldn't there be a way to make known that you should check out your car and turn off the alarm?
So, what to do when the car alarm goes off? This is what Uncyclopedia said.
There are several courses of action if you hear a car alarm go off:
- Panic, something bad is obviously happening so acting like a rabbit in the headlights is probably the best thing to do.
- Ignore it, its just a car alarm, nothing exciting.
- Run! if you are currently crowbarring the car open, this is probably a good course of action, no time like the present.
- Smash the window, release the bonnet, cut the battery cable, then stand back and admire your handiwork.
- Crash and Burn something that is not at all related to the above subjects.
When my mum was driving, I looked out the window and saw a car with a window opened. There was a lady who was driving 4 other children but what caught my eye was the fact that she was driving with her left hand on the sterring wheel and her right hand on a white dog who has both its legs outside the car and its head out the window. Yeap, just like how it looks like in the movies. For a second, I imagined how it would be like if the dog fell on the road. :S
Road kill. *gulp*
I shouldn't be imagining these stuff, I know. ^^
Daddy's Cake
I bought him a cake from Baker's Cottage. My dad doesn't exactly fancy cheesecake and I couldn't exactly find blueberry cake either. The cake shop in Sri Petaling can't be found and I heard people saying that it has closed down. But, their cakes are really goooood.
These few days have been cold. I don't sleep with the air cond turned on but I'll wake up all wrapped up in my comforter, wishing I could just put on my thickest sweater and go back to sleep.
Quotes and some emo stuff =)
I was chatting with a friend yesterday. =) She sent me a link to half-heartedly. No worries, it is not anything explicit (just in case you had your hopes a little high :P). They are quotes and I won't say that this is the best site or anything but if you think you need some advice or anything, this could give you a few realizations.
I think some of these photos were photoshoped. I came across them in youtube. What photos? Pon and Zi =) Emo in many ways if I may say so.
This is one quote which I saw on the web which I thought was meaningful."When someone breaks your heart, it teaches you that loving someone does not always mean that the person will love you back. But don’t turn your back on love, because when you find the right person, the joy that one person brings you will make up for all of your past hurts. Times a thousand fold."
It's not just love for someone special but also for friends. Finally, some things are settled. Will things ever be the same again? I don't know. Maybe. Maybe not. Less than 1 year in IMU left and I wish I could many more things to do.
A Passage
Anyway, I was chatting with a friend yesterday. He sent me a passage of words which he came across.
The little girl said, "No, Dad. You hold my hand." "What's the difference?" Asked the puzzled father. "There's a big difference," replied the little girl. "If I hold your hand and something happens to me, chances are that I may let your hand go. But if you hold my hand, I know for sure that no matter what happens,you will never let my hand go."
In any relationship, the essence of trust is not in its bind, but in its bond. So hold the hand of the person who loves you rather than expecting them to hold yours..."
It is a normal thing for me to emo. But that doesn't mean I'm not happy either. Weirdly, I can be emo and happy at the same time [I think]. hehe. There is a lot of wrong timings for recent events. Even the many things that I want to say can't be said because I don't have the courage. Yet, I think the person already has a clue about it.
(Nope, you're not getting your ticket back. :P As I said, no matter what unless... =) hehe, I'm not telling you that either.)
IMU Art Festival 2009 (Part 4)
Holidays have finally started. I was really glad that yesterday's class was cancelled. I had 14 hours of sleep. I dreamt about many things of which I could only remember a few things. Some were weird happy dreams. Some were sad scary dreams. But that's not the topic.
Lately, the topic friendship has been lingering in my mind a lot. As much as I wish I could talk to someone about it, I'm trying to just 'down' the fact that not saying anything makes life easier for everyone else. If I have to be the one who has to understand, then, I guess I have nothing to talk about.
Sometimes, it's easy for a person to say 'I didn't know' or 'How was I supposed to know? She didn't even tell me' and 'I DID ask him. He didn't want to tell me.' Here is a series of questions. Did you try asking? Did you ask nicely? If someone talked to you the way you talked to people, would you like it?
For awhile, you might think that I'm hating everything. For awhile, you might think that I complain about everything. For awhile, you might think that I am very short tempered. For awhile, you might think that I'm emo or cold.
Maybe it is the rainy weather. *Pretty stupid to blame it on the weather* Maybe it is because of recent events. Maybe, as what my friend said, it is the social withdrawal phase.
AWESOME day
I met my 4 of my mentees. 1 did not turn up. They have different personalities. One of them jokes a lot. One of them asks a lot of question. One of them is quiet and calls himself a loner but a guitarist. One of them smiles a lot. Well, I sure do hope that I did not freak them out because I knew I talked a lot. I tried to interact with them. I hope it worked.
As for the one hour lecture, I kept on dozing off. When I wake up, she'll still be on the same slide. I actually thought that the volleyball match would be cancelled because it seemed as if it was going to rain. But it did not rain! So, with Chelsea missing (one of our best players), the team had to survive the match. We did not play as well as we did with Hydra. I was not nervous. But, if only I could have moved faster and not doubt myself for a split second.
I replaced Chelsea's spot and I regretted serving one out ball. It is usually in but not for that time. As for supporters, there was not much support but out own team. So I will be supporting the guys tomorrow. =) I think today's game was somewhat exhilarating because there was one time when the ball just kept going over and over as in it never touched the ground for quite awhile. Being in the center, I was just spinning around and running just to make sure that I can reach in time. That was the best part. But the ball in the end landed on my side of the court.
The other fun part was when Perly and I dived for the same ball but a little far and so we couldn't save the ball. It was fun though. Perly even said 'Let's do that again!' hehe. So, we've got the 4th placing but the friendship will always be there. We started out rough in the beginning but I've found 2 new friends, Perly and Ee Ling.
After volleyball, I went to have a sneak peak at the cheerleading practice. There is still a LOT of room for improvement. I really hope that they'll get synchronized soon. A team of 20 with enthusiastic people, they can shine if the captain can discover their real potential. In the end, cheerleading should be a team thing. Whatever that goes on in a team should be something that everyone in the team is capable of doing. Bringing out the best of one another is one of the principles that I hold on to unless there is a desperate call for extra marks.
I have a feeling that this awesome day is the start of an awesome weekend and an awesome holiday despite the bruises. ^^ I want to play volleyball again but for now, I've got to concentrate on darts. =)
Update
So, there'll be another game tomorrow night against Pheonix and hopefully, the team will do better as compared to the previous match. I believe there will be 5 sets of games and I really hope that I can last. It is going to be another busy day for me tomorrow.
"Life's a challenge," I said. And someone said, "But it's those challenges that makes life worth it."
"I'll wait," I said. And someone said, "If you keep on waiting, someone else might just make use of your opportunity."
The outcome might or might not be the same when you finally decided to take the chance to do something and make a difference.
I'll stay as I am now for I'm not ready to be the first to take the step. I suppose when someone else does it, I might be a little braver to do so. Someday, I'll cultivate the patience, courage, determination and passion that I need.
IMU Art Festival 2009 (Part 3)
Kyan and Daniel performed during Noise and Movement. They said that they were going to sing 7 songs which gave me a shock. In my mind, I was thinking of approximately 1/2 hour of singing but surprisingly, it was not like that. If you're interested in their singing, take a look at the videos. =) Kyan's the one on the left while Daniel's the one on the right.
The first song was indeed about 3minutes. They sang Time Of My Life by David Cook.
I totally like the part when Kyan sang the high pitch.
I didn't have a tripod with me then. So, I really tried to stay as stable as possible. But people were walking pass me. So, I had to somehow move to the front and stand alone in the middle. It was weird because everyone else was standing far behind.
This was the second song. Norwegian Recycling: How 6 Songs Collide. I like this one. =)
I could see that Kyan's mic was slowly dropping. More to come soon will be Kor Woi, Faye's and group performance.
Waste of time
I had to reconvert them but using another software. I do not know if it was as good but I do know that the ones that took a lot of effort were sort of clear. During processing, it wasn't that clear but looking at it now, it's actually not that bad. =) Still, there goes the time for PBL and studying.
I think I should really start because Endocrine is coming to an end soon! Yeap, that IS FAST. Plus, PBL is tomorrow. I have many things to update on the Art Festival. So, hang in there. Hopefully that by the time the weekends are here, I have more time. Currently, I'm just squeezing every minute I have to do things that I want to do. Yeap, I am definitely trying to maximize the time I have every day.
IMU Art Festival 2009 (Part 2)
In a way, it is a story taking part somewhere in a busy city. So, the 6 of us had different roles to play. Mei Xin the streetdancer brings her radio to the streets and starts dancing while Kor Woi, the cleaner observes her from the side. After that Mei Xin changes the song to ask the others to report to the dance floor. There is Ying Xin, the student and the couple Alex and Lois. I played the role of a businesswoman who was trying to get a cab. (Ben thought I was trying to catch a train =.=) At the end of the dance after we bow, there was a thunder and it starts raining, so, we run to take shelter. This part wasn't recorded.
So, take a look at the whole routine. Don't forget to rate it if you like it. =)
The continuation of the story will come soon.
Plants Vs Zombies
After playing it for 2 whole days, I would say that this is DEFINITELY one ADDICTIVE game. For those who hasn't played nor heard of it before, do not underestimate this game to be a silly child's game because this game can test your patience and ability to multi-task. On top of that, it teaches you to prioritize and act fast.
You'll never look at a plant the same way again. You'll be amazed what they can do for you. First, some pictures. =) I searched some of them online until I discovered the option of not putting it to full screen, so, some of them are screenshots.
If you think that you're going to get proper help and advice from this game, I'd say, think again. However, there's nothing to worry about as when you proceed towards a new level, there will be guidance and a little bit of help from Crazy Dave.
This is the start of the game in Level 1. As you proceed to higher levels, the setting will be a different place. See the plants one side and zombies on the other? The objective is to protect your house from being invaded by the zombies who would want to eat your brains. In order to do so, plant thes plants with different capabilites and toughness each.
This is an example of a different setting. Take a look at the bottom right and you'll see three red flags. Those flags are indicative of whether the waves of zombies are near. If not, you have time to build up defenses. It also indicates that the level is coming to an end.
This one takes place at the graveyard. At night, there are different plants available because some plants are active at night while some are asleep during the day. The 5th and 10th stages are sort of like bonus stages. They are even more fun to play.
So, what if you a zombie actually managed to get into your house? Yeah, as the words above show 'The Zombies Ate Your Brains!' Not to worry though, you can always restart the level for the adventure mode. I am not so sure for the others though but I think that it should be the same.
Here's my almanac index of plants that I've collected so far. I suppose this is one of the reasons why it is addictive because there is curiosity of wanting to know what the next plant would be.
These are zombies that I've encountered. Some are nasty in the game but when you read the descriptions, it is funny. The almanav tells about the toughness and if there is any special features that you need to know which gives you an idea on how to take down a particular zombie.
This is my Zen Garden. But as of yesterday night, I have 6 plants already. This is sort of relaxing. Theses flowers give you coins so that you can shop at Crazy Dave's. Have you ever wondered what happens to them when you give them too much water or fertilizer? I don't think that they will die. It is after all, a game. If there are many things to think about in the Zen Garden, then it's going to be somewhat stressful, don't you think?I believe that this game is suitable for all age groups and can definitely help in bonding with your siblings because this will just give you an additional topic to talk about. Just like me, I talk about strategies with my brother. There are many areas which I have not explored in the game. All that I have done so far is finishing the adventure mode and bits of the others.
The songs for every level are really cute as well. I'd say that the creator of this game is a genius because I think this game can capture hearts of many but of course, a person has to be disciplined before playing it. Otherwise, it's all play and no studying.
Waking up in pain
Last night, I had a nightmare where I nearly became lunch for a friend. Seriously, the look on his face was terrifying and when another friend of mine tried to save me, the possessed person said 'Don't disturb me. I'm going to have my lunch no matter what.' As I felt his hand pressing against the right lumbar, I thought I was a goner. I woke up screaming and realised that I had a cramp. Of all places, the abdominal muscle? =.=
Have been confused.
Have been emo.
Have been everything I tried to be.
Short Update
I was finishing up my report yesterday. So, wheeee... I'm done! I was watching a series as well, 'Make It or Break It'. For those of you who are interested in movies or series related to sports, this is the one for you! This one is related to artistic gymnastics. I think it is quite cool. =)
ME209 Orientation (Part 1)
Introducing the Group 6 of ME2/09 VIkings and VIxens. Yeap, the last semester, I OOed Group 6 and this sem, it's Group 6 again.
Last Friday, there was Indoor Treasure Hunt which I joined. I didn't manage to stay until the very end where they had to play human chess like the ones in Harry Potter. The only difference is that nobody really gets killed and the number of pieces were reduced by half.
While waiting for their turn to play, Sam gave a motivational talk. We were definitely one of the biggest group that night because 19/21 people in the group turned up. Despite the fact that we couldn't find some of the clues that day because they went missing or some of the bearings were wrong, we still had fun. Why? Because when we wait for news to come, we would take pictures!!!
Alright then, that's all for now. Tonight will be Dresscode and I wonder if I'll be able to make it. Tomorrow will be Telematch and on Thursday, it will be Variety Night. I feel as if the Orientation this time is really short compared to mine.
