Igudesman and Joo at MPO

Yes, I watched them perform LIVE!

Gidon Kremer, Kremetica Baltica, Igudesman and Joo were in Malaysia on both November 16th and 17th. I wanted to watch Kremetica Baltica perform on November 16th but due to unforeseen circumstances, I watched Igudesman and Joo instead. =) There is only one word to describe it and that would be AWESOME.

It was a planned outing with my friends before the exams. I guess you could put it in a way that it helps in de-stressing. Igudesman and Joo make fun with music and interact with audiences as part of their act. On top of that, the music they play are mostly familiar ones. For example, the Simpsons. That was one of the catchy ones.

Igudesman plays the violin where as Joo plays the piano. I love the sound of his violin although I somehow felt that his playing was little 'bouncy' at some parts that night. Maybe it's only when he plays it really fast. There was a part where Joo played the piano with only one hand but sounds like 2 hands playing. You could check them out on Youtube, if you'd like. Trust me, you won't regret it. :)

..This was the ticket..

It was at Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra (MPO), KLCC.

Cameras were not allowed in the hall. So, the pictures were all taken after the show.

From left: Me, Robyn, Jae Ric, Chia Sin and Jeremy. Missing person: Benedict, because he helped us get Igudesman and Joo's autograph. Plus, he was more excited than all of us in meeting them.

..Our group photo. It is tradition to take one at every outing..

..This is my ticket now with autographs on it :) ..

The last time I went to KLCC was when I was a kid, probably around 9 or 10 years old. For one thing, it is pretty far from my place. It was only this year that I went there twice. The first time was to get the tickets and the second was to watch the show. KLCC has definitely changed a lot. I'm planning to go there again. I want to check out the Aquaria. :) On the other hand, some of my friends have plans to go to Sunway Lagoon.

Well, whatever it is, I'm looking forward to another outing. The coming 2 months would be a mixture of holiday + projects. It would also be the only time for me (and my batchmates) to have fun before our Final Exam next year. I'm trying to live my life to its fullest, are you?
